Course Description

Research indicates that individuals living with a mental illness generally have a shorter lifespan than individuals who do not have a serious mental illness. Upon completion of this course, attendees will:

  • Be able to identify basic activities that can be shared with consumers in order to foster a wellness oriented lifestyle

  • Learn self-advocacy skills to encourage individuals to work more effectively with their healthcare providers
